Food Safety Level 2 in Catering

A one day course the Level 2 award Food Safety in Catering is essential for everyone involved in the production and handling of food products. Subjects covered include; food hygiene, food poisoning and microbiology, prevention of contamination, personal hygiene, food pests, cleaning and disinfecting, legislation, premises and equipment design. This is an examined course. Successful Candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for 3 years.

Food Safety Level One in Catering

A half day course the Level 2 award Food Safety in Catering is suitable for anyone with little or no prior food safety knowledge (e.g. employees handling low risk or wrapped food, waiting on or checkout staff, porters or warehouse staff). Topics covered are food safety (food hygiene, hazards, responsibility), personal hygiene, cleaning and contamination.

Course duration: 3hrs

 

Refresher Food Safety Level 2 in Catering

A three hour refresher course for those students who already hold a level two food hygiene qualification (certificates must be presented at start of course). It is required to update students on relevant changes in food safety legislation or “best practice” since qualification.
